Coroner IDs Man Killed Sunday By Caltrain
The 64-year-old had trespassed onto the tracks at Charleston Road, Caltrain officials said.

A man struck and killed Sunday by a Caltrain in Palo Alto has been identified as 64-year-old Jim Kelly, a San Jose resident, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
At about 12:45 p.m. Sunday, southbound Caltrain No. 802 struck Kelly after he had trespassed onto the tracks at Charleston Road, Caltrain officials said.
The train was carrying 300 passengers in addition to two conductors and an engineer but there were no reported injuries onboard.

A Caltrain spokeswoman could not immediately be reached today to provide an update on the investigation into the crash.
