Curtains! The Musical Comedy Whodunit!

Curtains! The Musical Comedy Whodunit! Six performances Oct. 25th-Nov. 2nd, 2014 at the Woodside High School Performing Arts Center.

Woodside Community Theatre presents the witty, murder-mystery-within-a-musicalCURTAINS, playing for six performances October 25 through November 2, 2014 at the Woodside High School Performing Arts Center, 199 Churchill Avenue in Woodside, CA. Tickets are on sale now at wct-curtains.brownpapertickets.com or calling 800.838.3006.

CURTAINS was the final collaboration between composer John Kander, and lyricist Fred Ebb, whose other work include CABARET and CHICAGO. The script, by Rupert Holmes, based on a book by Peter Stone, is one part murder mystery, one part send-up of big goofy Broadway musicals, and one part screwball comedy.

The Story: it’s the brassy, bright and promising year of 1959. Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical, a “wild west” retelling of the classic Robin Hood story. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage, just after taking her final bow, the entire cast and crew are suspects. Enter a local detective, who just happens to be an amateur musical theatre fan and actor!
