Dominant Titan's Pitching
PALL Thoits Brothers TItans pitchers 3-hit San Carlos A's in 12-2 victory
Cory Hallada, Ted Jung, and Spencer Soohoo combined to shut down the 2nd place A's yesterday in their regular season finale in the District 52 5070 division, limiting them to 3 hits and 2 runs at El Camino park, Friday evening. Hallada only allowed one run due to a walk in the first inning over 3 innings giving up only one hit later in the 3rd. Jung relieved in the 4th, striking out the last batter to end the inning and then pitched a no-hit fifth. Soohoo completed the domination by striking out 3 A's in the 6th to end the game.
The 3rd place Titans, who previously lost 2 games to the A's, got timely hitting from Brian Lee (3 for 4), Finn Hadly (2 for 4), JP Conrad (3 for 4) and Kaden Lau who got his first triple of the season, hitting a gapper that rolled to the fence. "Considering, he caught the whole game, it was a superman effort to run that fast," commented coach Mark Burton.
Titan's defense showed up again highlighted by a diving catch in right field by Brian Lee ending the 2nd inning. "You guys have improved," commented the A's manager.
