Pregnancy and birth is not just a physical experience, but a spiritual, emotional, and mental one as well. Talei’s Friday practice includes a vinyasa flow with poses to alleviate common pregnancy discomforts and community building to support moms in holistic wellness. The pace of the class is gentle at the start and finish and the bulk of the practice is moderately intense. Students will enjoy an eclectic mix of music to move to and learn about various birthing options. The use of Sanskrit, the language of yoga, is used alongside English, and most classes offer some classical yogic traditions such as pranayama (breathing techniques), energy work, or chanting. This class is appropriate for all levels and most students will feel physically challenged
