Four Generations: Mother's Day Photos

"At least we all know what we will look like as we get older! The genetics are strong!"

PALO ALTO, CA — Whether it's through their personality, their looks or a combination of both, daughters become a reflection of the woman who raised them. For Mother's Day 2018 we decided to celebrate that special bond by having Patch readers across California share their "mother-daughter lookalike" photos.

This one submitted by Maya Goehring-Harris shows four generations. Pictured as young girls clockwise from top are: Maya's grandmother in 1923 in Palo Alto; Maya's mother in 1951 in Pasadena; Maya's daughter in 2014 in Emeryville; and Maya in 1979 in Monterey.

"At least we all know what we will look like as we get older!" writes Maya. "The genetics are strong!"
