Free Support for Domestic Violence Survivors

Local Support Groups and Individualized Support Available for Survivors and their Children, in English and Spanish

At some point during their lives, nearly 1 in 4 women in the United States will experience domestic violence.

Yet women coping with the effects of domestic violence often feel alone and unsure or afraid to reach out for help.

Family & Children Services of Silicon Valley (FCS), which has been serving this community since 1948, offers free and confidential assistance for survivors and their children.

Our services for domestic violence survivors include:

  • Peer support groups, which provide a safe space to connect with others who understand, to learn about resources, and to receive and offer support.
  • Phone and in-person resource and referral and safety planning.
  • One-to-one assistance connecting with and navigating community resources (e.g., shelters, housing, childcare, legal, employment, physical healthcare, basic needs).
  • Linkages with individual and family counseling services for adults and children.
