Hillary Clinton To Speak At Stanford Conference
The former secretary of state will be in town Friday to deliver a keynote address.

PALO ALTO, CA — Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is coming to Palo Alto Friday to speak at a conference at Stanford University. The event is a day-long celebration marking the launch of the Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law's Global Digital Policy Incubator, with Clinton scheduled to deliver a coinciding keynote address exploring the theme of digital technology, diplomacy and democratic values.
Eileen Donahoe, former U.S. ambassador to the UN Human Rights Council, is the executive director of the new Global Digital Policy Incubator, or GDPi. According to a news release, the program "serves as a multi-stakeholder collaboration hub at Stanford for technologists, governments, civil society and the private sector actors. GDPi will identify and incubate global policy and governance innovations that enhance freedom, security and trust in the digital realm."
Attendance at the 4:30 p.m. keynote address with Clinton is invite-only — tickets were made available to Stanford students through a lottery system — but a livestream will be shown via the CDDRL Facebook page.
