In Palo Alto: Joyful Canticles - Music of Schubert, Charpentier, and Purcell

The opening concert of the 2014-2015 Congregational Concert Series takes place in Palo Alto on Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 PM.

The Congregational Oratorio Society and Orchestra, conducted by Gregory Wait and Hugh McDevitt, performs three beautiful and joyful sacred works for chorus, soloists, and chamber orchestra. The program includes

  • “Mass in C” by Franz Schubert
  • “Te Deum” by Marc-Antoine Charpentier
  • “Jubilate” by Henry Purcell.

Soloists are

  • Lisa Salter, soprano
  • Debbie McDevitt, mezzo-soprano
  • Mark Bonney, tenor
  • Daniel Borup, baritone

The concert takes place on Sunday, November 9, at 3:00 PM, at the First Congregational Church of Palo Alto, 1985 Louis Road (at Embarcadero), Palo Alto.
