Mom, Boy In Peninsula Hospital Visited By Nordstrom ‘Angel’

The mother of five spent Mother's Day in the hospital with her son and met her "angel" while trying to track down fresh clothes.

PALO ALTO, CA — A Danville mother and her son admitted to a hospital during Mother’s Day weekend were recently given a touching care package from a Nordstrom manager. Kimberly Dankowski was in need of fresh clothes after rushing with her toddler son, Levi, to the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford.

The resourceful mom of five made arrangements with the staff at Nordstrom, which is across the street from the hospital, to deliver the few items she ordered online to them at the hospital, according to a KTVU report.

A short time later, the store manager, bearing a note and flower, not only delivered the order to the mom but later sent the young boy a care package that included a stuffed animal, a toy and some fresh socks. On her Facebook page, Dankowski referred to the manager as an “angel.” Read the full story here.
