Mountain Lion Prowls Palo Alto Neighborhood
"Residents in the immediate area should be aware and keep pets indoors," police said.
PALO ALTO, CA ā Police were monitoring the movements of a mountain lion in Palo Alto on Saturday.
The big cat was first spotted in the 700 block of North Hampton Drive in North Palo Alto. It was later reported in the 1900 block of Byron Avenue in the Old Palo Alto neighborhood. Police said it was likely to move again.
While the mountain lion didn't display aggressive behavior, "Residents in the immediate area should be aware and keep pets indoors," police said.

Animal Control officers and personnel from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife were responding.
Residents should call 911 if they see the mountain lion, police said.
