PALO ALTO, CA — Palo Alto Mayor Adrian Fine is calling for the city to open a park that’s been off-limits to nonresidents for more than 60 years, KTVU reports.
Foothills Park’s exclusionary policy towards nonresidents has been in effect since the city purchased the 1,400-acre natural preserve in 1959.
It is currently a misdemeanor for nonresidents to enter the park.
