Palo Alto To Host Earth Day Rally Friday
Palo Alto Mayor Pat Burt will join students, local elected officials, and environmental nonprofits at the March and Rally For Our Earth.
PALO ALTO, CA — Bay Area students and leaders will gather in Palo Alto Friday for an Earth Day “March and Rally for Our Earth.”
The event is sponsored by the City of Palo Alto, and a number of Peninsula environmental nonprofits, including the Climate Reality Project, Menlo Spark, Canopy, the Silicon Valley North Citizens’ Climate Lobby, and more.
A rally at Palo Alto’s King Plaza, right across from City Hall, will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, and local leaders like Palo Alto Mayor Patrick Burt, Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, Assemblymember Marc Berman, and local environmental leaders and musicians will speak.

Following the rally, students will lead a march around and back to King Plaza. Following the rally, attendees will be able to visit local organizations’ tables, and hang Earth Day pledges on a “Pledge tree.”
