Palo Alto Unified School District Grabs No. 2 Spot In State Poll

The district was among three in the South Bay among the state's top five in the Niche 2021 Best School Districts rankings.

PALO ALTO, CA — The Palo Alto Unified School District grabbed the No. 2 spot in a new state school district ranking.

The district was among three in the South Bay among the top five in the newly released Niche 2021 Best School Districts in California ranking.

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint High School District was ranked No. 1 and the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District No. 5.

The rankings were based on analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users, the school rankings and review website said.

Test scores, teacher evaluations, culture and diversity and parent and student surveys were among the factors Niche considered in its ranking.

Other factors were health and safety, resources and facilities, clubs and activities and sports.
