Palo Alto Woman Returns Home To Find Burglar
Police responded to the 300 block of Curtner Avenue at about 9:22 a.m. on Saturday.

PALO ALTO, CA -- Palo Alto police are searching for a burglary suspect who allegedly shoved a woman after she returned home to find him inside her apartment. Police responded to the 300 block of Curtner Avenue at about 9:22 a.m. on Saturday to reports of a burglary in progress.
A woman in her 40s returned home after leaving her apartment at 8:50 a.m. to run errands, police said. She returned 30 minutes later and found her front door unlocked and a light on inside.
Police said she entered her home, saw a man she didn't recognize and noticed that her items had been rummaged through.

The suspect looked surprised to see her, police said, and allegedly pushed her into a wall and ran away.
The woman suffered minor injuries on her arm after she was pushed but did not require medical treatment, police said.

The victim told police the man was white, in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds with dark brown hair and a clean shave. She said he was wearing gloves, a gray long-sleeved sweatshirt and
black pants.
The suspect allegedly stole jewelry and money from the victim's home.
