​Popular Palo Alto Eatery Ends 11-Year Run Amid Pandemic: Report

The Mayfield Bakery & Café has shuttered its Town & Country Village restaurant, Palo Alto Weekly reports.

PALO ALTO, CA – A popular Palo Alto eatery has closed amid the economic fallout from the coronavirus crisis, according to a published report.

The Mayfield Bakery & Café has shuttered its Town & Country Village restaurant, Palo Alto Weekly reports.

Tim Stannard, the founding partner of Bacchus Management Group, Mayfield’s parent company, attributed the bakery’s closure to the economic impact of the coronavirus crisis, according to the report.

"Like many restaurants throughout the area and across the country, the impact of the COVID-19 virus and the subsequent shelter-in-place orders have reduced revenues to an unsustainable level," Stannard said in a statement.

"I would like to share a heartfelt thank you to all of our team members, as well as our loyal guests, for 11 wonderful years."
