Area Man Drowns In Reservoir
The Sunnyvale 26-year-old went missing when swimming with family on Labor Day, officials said.

SUNNYVALE, CA – A Sunnyvale man drowned Monday in a reservoir in Stanislaus County, sheriff's officials said.
Victor Sagastume-Menjivar, 26, had been swimming with family members near Area U of the Woodward Reservoir when he went missing around 11:45 a.m.
Deputies responded after being called but were unable to find him.

A sheriff's office dive team responded and found Sagastume-Menjivar's body at about 5 p.m.
Sagastume-Menjivar was not wearing a life vest. Alcohol does appear to have played a part in his death.

Sheriff's officials said Sagastume-Menjivar's death is the first at the reservoir this year.
