Santa Clara Aquamaids 'Alice In Waterland' Exhibition Showcases Top Synchro Talent at Memorial Day Exhibition

Santa Clara Aquamaids to host free exhibition with Alice in Waterland theme.

With the Olympics just around the corner, synchronized swimming is about to return to the world stage. But you don’t have to wait until the summer to see the nation’s best synchronized swimmers perform right here in our back yard. On May 30th, members of the U.S. National Synchronized Swimming Team, along with guest performers from Cirque Du Soleil’s “O” (including world-renowned swimmer Bill May) and the Santa Clara Aquamaids will be performing an Alice In Wonderland themed exhibition at the Santa Clara International Swim Center.

Choreographed by the Aquamaid’s award-winning head coach Chris Carver, the exhibition will feature complex and visually stunning routines utilizing characters, plots and themes from Lewis Carroll's famous children’s novel. During the exhibition, the audience will also get a chance to preview the Junior National Team’s routine for their World Championship performance in Russia in July.

After the show, children ages 5-11 will have the opportunity to join the fun and learn basic synchro techniques in the pool from Olympic coaches and athletes. Those who are interested in signing up for their summer camp can also do so at the event.
