Sketch Of Burglary Suspect Released By Police

The victim, a woman in her 40s who came home to find the burglar in her apartment, worked with a police artist to produce the sketch.

PALO ALTO, CA – A sketch of the suspect in a burglary reported last weekend in Palo Alto was released by police Friday in the hopes someone in the public recognizes him. "The suspect pushed the resident, fled, and remains at large," Palo Alto Police Department Spokeswoman Janine De la Vega said in a new release.

De la Vega said in earlier this week that the burglary was reported at 9:22 a.m. Saturday, June 30 by a woman in her 40s who lives in an apartment in the 300 block of Curtner Avenue, near Park Boulevard and El Camino Real.

The woman told police she'd left her apartment about 30 minutes earlier to run an errand. When she returned home she found a male suspect rummaging through her belongings.

"As he was running away, he shoved the resident into a wall, causing her to fall," De la Vega said.

The victim, who was treated at the scene for minor injuries to her arm, told police the burglar made off with some of her jewelry and money.
