San Jose Earthquakes Star Presents Donation to East Palo Alto Academy

The starting center back for the San Jose Earthquakes made a cameo at East Palo Alto Academy in Menlo Park.

Wells Fargo donated $1,500 to East Palo Alto Academy Thursday to help the school recover from funds lost during budget cuts.

The money will be used to buy soccer equipment and jerseys for both boys and girls enrolled at the school’s programs, according to Frank Stranzl, San Jose Earthquakes spokesperson.

The money made possible through a gift from the Wells Fargo Goals for Education Program.

The San Jose Earthquakes starting center back Jason Hernandez brought the team’s mascot to the school to hand the youth soccer team members the check.
