Suspects At Large In Palo Alto Shopping Center Robbery
Police are searching for two suspects accused of snatching a woman's cell phone at the Stanford Shopping Center.
PALO ALTO, CA — Police are searching for two suspects accused of robbing a woman while she stood outside the Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto police said.
Police received a call at 7:24 p.m. Saturday about a robbery that had just occurred outside the shopping center. According to a police investigation, the victim had been talking on her cell phone when two men came up behind her and one of them snatched the cell phone from her hand.
The two suspects ran north on El Camino Real, according to police. The woman chased the suspects to Sand Hill Road and into El Camino Park, but stopped after realizing it wasn't safe, police said.

Police managed to track down the woman's phone and return other property — including a case that held her ID and credit card — that had been discarded in the park.
The suspects are between 15 and 16 years old, according to the victim, both about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and wearing black hooded sweatshirts and dark, sagging jeans.
