Thieves Hit Palo Alto Nordstrom, Take 49 Purses Worth $100K: PD
Palo Alto police are seeking a group of suspects in a brazen theft this week at Nordstrom in the Stanford Shopping Center.

PALO ALTO, CA — Thieves made off with 49 purses worth a combined $100,000 in a brazen heist Monday at Nordstrom, 550 Stanford Shopping Center Drive, according to Palo Alto police. At about 8:30 p.m., seven suspects — four females and three males — allegedly went to the handbag section of the store, picked up the purses and exited the store, Palo Alto police Sgt. Jesus Paneda told Patch.
The suspects then got into two vehicles — possibly sedans — and drove away from the shopping center, Paneda said.
It all happened "pretty quickly," the sergeant said.
