Titans Feast on Doubles

PALL Thoits Brothers Titans hit 7 doubles in comeback 15-10 win over San Carlos Reds

May 15, El Camino Field. The Palo Alto Titans broke team history today, hitting 7 doubles overcoming the San Carlos Reds in their 5070 division game. The Titans were trailing 8-3 in which the Reds looked to repeating their last month's win over the Titans. The Reds' #11 Jackson Cook hit a towering 275 ft home run in deep center field, the first ever in the newly modernized El Camino Park ball field off a belt-level Spencer Soohoo fastball. Soohoo recovered quickly though, striking out the next two batters. "It happens when one has his speed," commented Titans manager Craig Yanagisawa. "Got to keep it low, Cook put a great swing on it; furthest ball hit here, period," he added.

Avenging Cook's HR, Soohoo led the doubles onslaught with 3 going 3 for 3, followed by Finn Hadly (3 for 5) with 2. Kaden Lau and JP Conrad each had one. Conrad almost hit the cycle adding a single and a booming triple going 3 for 5. Big-smiling Tyler Ostrom had a personal record of his first 1.000 OBP game going 2 for 5 with 2 singles and 3 walks.

Cory Hallada led the Titans pitching with 6 K's and Malia Wanderer closed the 6th with a very efficient 11 pitches.
