Top 5 Places Californians Vacation to Get Away From the Noise

Sometimes all you need is to get away from it all.

Living in California can be stressful, and sometimes you just need to get away from all the noise. For a few weeks or a few days or at the very least a day. Sometimes taking time away from the office can help restore your soul, your humanity, imagination, energy, and dare we say, even your motivation to work. In fact, the most progressive and successful companies you know insist that their best workers take regular vacations so they can continue to perform at an optimal level.

In case you’re feeling the wanderlust but are all out of ideas on where to go, here are some suggestions, whether you want to stay in California, or venture a little further away.

La Valencia Hotel

A great place for beach activity, whether you simply want to relax and listen to the waves or if you want kayak. You can stay in their five-star hotel, enjoy a gourmet meal and take a tip in the sparkling pool. But the best reason to come visit is for the close access to the beach. La Jolla has sandy beaches, a jog-friendly boardwalk and kayaking equipment.

Cape Ray Resort

If you want comfort and scenic views then opt for the Cape Ray Resort, which gives great coastline views and garden views, as well as a full spa. This not only includes facials and other wellness treatments but also granite bathrooms, deep soaking tubs and glass showers. This is the ideal escape for someone who needs pampering and TLC.

Andaz Napa

Andaz provides friendly service and great accommodations but the real reason to check it out is for Napa itself. Napa has some great romantic scenery as well as its wineries. The downtown area has 19th century architecture and there is a riverfront promenade with restaurants, galleries and other touristy spots. You can actually take a “wine train” through several spots.

Legoland

If you’re a kid at heart why resist the opportunity to relive some childhood moments while entertaining your own children? Legoland makes for a more affordable experience than Disney Land, not to mention more interactive features, such as Dino Island, Duplo Village and Fun Town. There are even roller coasters here all with a Lego theme.

Smoky Mountain Rentals

If you’re really ready to get away from it all, take a long weekend getaway far away from the city life...in the mountains of Tennessee! Perhaps the most interesting option is a cabin in the woods around the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg. This is a nature lover’s delight, as you can soak in the forestry, the mountains and perhaps even see wildlife. In addition to staying in a cabin and getting some peace and quiet, you can take a tour of the area and mountains, or drive around the national park.

All you need is some quality vacation time to get your mind back on track!
