USC scored first in the second half, regaining the lead 28-24. Stanford answered with a touchdown of its own,closing the third quarter with a 31-28 lead.

Cardinal quarterback Kevin Hogan went 18-of-23, for 279 YDS including 2 touchdown passes.
Christian McCaffrey had a 100-plus yard game, with yards on 26 carries.
Next up for Stanford is Oregon State. They’ll take on the Beavers next Friday night in Corvallis.
