BACKGROUND: Verizon Wireless Smart Stores provide customers with exciting and interactive ways to experience the latest smartphones, tablets, accessories and connected devices through distinct lifestyle zones. The new store in San Jose features four zones that appeal to Silicon Valley residents’ connected lifestyles.

In 2014, Verizon Wireless began converting its entire fleet of 1,700 communications stores into Smart Stores. Verizon Wireless store representatives are specially trained to educate consumers on how to incorporate mobile devices into their everyday life. Representatives are also armed with tablets enabling them to spend more time with customers with the barrier of the cash register/counter eliminated.
