$100,000 Reward Offered for Killer of Rolling Hills Estates Man

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors renewed a $10,000 reward for information leading to the person who fatally shot a 53-year-old attorney in the driveway of his Rolling Hills Estates home.

On Dec. 7, 2009, Jeffrey Tidus was shot in the head in the 4600 block of Sugarhill Drive. He had gone outside to retrieve a laptop computer from his car, his wife told investigators, who said Tidus appeared to have been targeted.

Supervisor Don Knabe, who recommended extending the reward, said Tidus was active in various charities and was a valued member of the community.

The reward was set to expire Feb. 5 and will now be available for at least another 90 days.

The attorney’s family, friends and clients separately raised $90,000 in reward money, but to date, no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
