ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, CA — The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department sought the public's help Thursday in finding a 21-year-old missing person who may have been kidnapped and was last seen in Rolling Hills Estates.

Evan Michael Cockerham was last seen on Dec. 6 on the 700 block of Silver Spur Road, LASD said. A GoFundMe fundraiser created by Cockerham's brother Tristen Nelson said he made his last phone call home from the Malaga Cove Library to say a man looking for a dog carjacked and kidnapped him.

"Evan escaped when he had the chance and went to the nearest place (the library) to make the call," the GoFundMe post said. "He has not been seen or heard of since. We incline that while he was on the way to the library, the man was following him."

Nelson said the vehicle was a white 1990 Plymouth Grand Voyager with a wood grain stripe. Cockerham is described as a 6-foot-tall white man with brown hair and blue eyes.

Cockerham is without a cell phone, wallet and money and Nelson said he feared his brother was still in danger.
