3 Hurt in Car-to-Car Shooting in Lomita

Investigators were trying to figure out where the shooting took place as the car the victims was in may have traveled a distance.

LOMITA, CA - As many as three men were wounded Saturday night in a car-to-car shooting on the Lomita-Harbor City border, authorities said.

It was reported at 7:30 p.m. when the car the victims were in crashed on Western Avenue at Palos Verdes Drive North, Sgt. K. Gipson of the Lomita Sheriff's Station said.

Investigators from the sheriff's department and the Los Angeles Police Department were at the scene.

The victims were taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center, police said.

Detectives were trying to determine where the actual shooting took place, Gipson said.

The car may have traveled some distance before crashing, she said.
