Chase Ends With Kiss, Kiss Ends With Stun Gun

A stolen U-Haul chase ended with a stolen kiss that turned electric thanks to police stun guns.

PALOS VERDES, CA – The female driver and male passenger who led police on a pursuit in a U-Haul truck through the South Los Angeles area are in custody Wednesday afternoon after sharing a brief kiss. The driver crashed into another truck before stopping in Montebello, live footage from KTLA5 showed. The two suspects remained barricaded inside the U-Haul truck until the woman tried to turn herself in, but appeared to be held back by the male passenger, who was kissing and embracing her.

The makeout session came to an abrupt end when police used a stun gun on the man and handcuffed the woman.

Authorities approached the couple after an almost hour-long pursuit, and used a stun gun to subdue the male suspect, the KTLA5 video showed. Bell Gardens police officials began the pursuit before handing it off to California Highway Patrol, the driver then led CHP through multiple cities in the South Los Angeles area.
