The Avila University Zeta chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta inducted Marissa Simmons of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA into the national premedical honor society on April 14, one of eight students honored.

In order to earn entry to the honor society-the lone chapter in western Missouri-students must demonstrate academic excellence by earning an overall and science GPA of 3.2 over at least three semesters.

Avila University, a Catholic University founded and inspired by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, provides undergraduate and graduate education in the liberal arts and professional studies, preparing lifelong learners who make meaningful contributions to the global community.
