Board Approves Reward to Catch Rolling Hills Estates Man's Killer
Authorities are holding out hope for leads in the shooting death of lawyer Jeffrey Tidus.

The Board of Supervisors today approved the renewal of $10,000 rewards for information in two unrelated homicides, a 2014 hit-and- run fatality in Long Beach and a 2009 shooting in Rolling Hills Estates.
Supervisor Don Knabe recommended extending the rewards, set to expire this week, for at least another 90 days.
On Dec. 7, 2009, 53-year-old lawyer Jeffrey Tidus was shot in the head in the driveway of his home in the 4600 block of Sugarhill Drive. He had gone outside to retrieve a laptop computer from his car, his wife told investigators, who said Tidus appeared to have been targeted.

Knabe said Tidus was active in various charities and was a valued member of the community.
The attorney’s family, friends and clients separately raised $90,000 in reward money, but to date no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
