Body Found at Bottom of Point Fermin's Cliff ID'd

Medical examiners are investigating what caused the man's death.

SAN PEDRO, CA - Coroner's officials on Saturday have identified the man whose body was recovered from San Pedro's Point Fermin Park, at the bottom of a cliff.

He was Joseph Dileva, a 72-year-old Hispanic male who was homeless, Acting Lt. B. Kim of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office told City News Service.

Dileva's body was found early Friday, and recovered by Los Angeles Fire Department crews, who hoisted it into a helicopter.
