Man Dead Of Apparent Suicide Found Near Point Fermin In San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, CA – A body has been found at the base of Point Fermin and is being recovered by firefighters, who were dispatched at 8:19 a.m. to 1 Point Fermin at Paseo Del Mar, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The person was found deceased in the water, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"It was a male's body, and it was an apparent suicide," said Sgt. Thomas Bergren of the Los Angeles Police Department's Harbor Station.
