Hills Are Alive 5K/10K Race Returns May 30
The City of Rolling Hills Estates invites the community to participate in the Annual Hills Are Alive 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Ernie Howlett Park, where participants will start and finish a scenic course through the City’s bridle trails. The route offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty and rural character of Rolling Hills Estates.
Registration
Registration is now open for the 2026 race.
- Standard Registration: $40 (April 1 – May 29 at 8:00 p.m.)
- Day-of Registration: $45
Awards
- Overall first-place male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K will receive plaques
- First-place finishers in each age division (male and female) will receive medals
Packet Pick-Up
Participants who register prior to Friday, May 29 may pick up race packets at City Hall (Council Chambers), located at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North, on Friday, May 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Participants who register on May 29 or the day of the race may pick up their packets at Ernie Howlett Park on race day.
Additional Information
- Strollers and dogs are not permitted on the racecourse
- A course map for the 5K and 10K routes is available for viewing
Residents and visitors of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend. The Hills Are Alive race is a longstanding community tradition and a great way to enjoy the City’s trails and open space.
