Car Thieves Target Palos Verdes Estates

Police are warning residents to lock their cars and not to leave their valuables in the car after a rash of thefts on Via Montemar.

The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department today warned residents of Via Montemar to watch out for car thieves.

A rash of vehicle thefts on Via Montemar have occurred lately between midnight and 6 a.m., police said. The targeted vehicles were either unlocked or valuables were left in plain view.

Vehicles should always be locked, including when parked in a residential driveway.
