Couple Shot To Death In Rancho Palos Verdes Identified

Authorities identified two people who were shot in the Pelican Cove parking lot in Rancho Palos Verdes early Monday morning.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Authorities Tuesday identified a couple who were shot to death in a parking lot in Rancho Palos Verdes early Monday morning.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, 36-year-old Jorge Ramos and 26-year-old TaylorRaven Whittaker were found inside a parked, blue Subaru sedan in the 7000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South.

Investigators said they believe Ramos and Whittaker were in a dating relationship.

Authorities said they received the shooting report at about 6:50 a.m. in the Pelican Cove parking lot. Deputies said multiple bullet holes were visible on the car the pair were in.

"The City extends its condolences to the families of the two victims," city officials said in a statement.

Detectives were still investigating the motive for the shooting. No information about any suspects was available.
