The chase began in Corona in Riverside County, authorities said, before moving through the Anaheim area in Orange County, then into the Long Beach-Lakewood area in Los Angeles County before the suspect was arrested in Harbor City.

At one point, the suspect met an intersection where school children were crossing in the Long Beach-Lakewood area of LA County, where he stopped to let the children cross safely before resuming his break from authorities.
The high-speed chase started around 3 p.m., and about a half hour later, the suspect fired the first of several bursts of gunshots at pursuing officers. Authorities reported a second round of fire shot at officers at around 3:50 p.m. on Bellflower Boulevard.
The suspect seemed to have been armed with a high-caliber, semiautomatic weapon.
Just came within several seconds of being shot at while driving west on the 91 freeway. Black pickup zoomed past me and 12 police cars proceeded to chase. I turn on the radio 5 min later and hear he was shooting at the cop cars on the freeway. Stay safe out there LA.
