The Palos Verdes Art
Center/Beverly G. Alpay Center for Arts Education thrives because of the
hundreds of talented and dedicated volunteers who support its programs and
activities. Volunteer opportunities are now available for gallery Docents –
guides introducing guests through the exhibitions. No prior experience in art
is needed – only a desire to learn and share your knowledge with gallery visitors.
Please join the PVAC Docent Council for "Coffee &
Conversation" Thursday, August 13, 201, 10 a.m., at the newly renovated
Art Center, 5504 W. Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes.
"We are reaching out to
potential docents to come and gain insights into docent activities that include
assisting visitors in the galleries and providing tours for students and adults"
stated Docent Council President Vickie Walker. Tours of the current exhibitions
Encore and Loving Lilly, Lilly Pulitzer from the Keni Valenti collection will
be offered. Please call Education
Director, Gail Phinney for reservation information, 310-541-2479 x305
