Dramatic Rescue On Palos Verdes Coast As Injured Person Is Airlifted To Hospital
County fire officials have rescued a person who became trapped on or near a cliff in the Palos Verdes area.
County fire officials on Thursday rescued a person who became trapped on or near a cliff in the Palos Verdes area, and took the person to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Fire crews responded around noon to the 600 block of Paseo Del Mar on reports of a trapped individual who required rescue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It was unclear exactly where or how the person was trapped, but authorities initially put out a public alert stating that a cliff rescue was in progress.

Crews reached the person, who was flown by helicopter to a hospital in unknown condition around 1:15 p.m., according to an LA County Fire spokeswoman.
