Driver Without License Plates Leads CHP On Chase Through South Bay
The suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Rancho Palos Verdes after CHP officers boxed him in.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — California Highway Patrol officers chased a potentially stolen vehicle that had no license plates through the South Bay Wednesday afternoon, ABC reported.
The pursuit started near downtown Los Angeles on Interstate 110 as officers trailed behind the driver who refused to stop. Officers said the driver was originally wanted for driving without license plates and speeding.
The driver then led authorities through the South Bay at around 4 p.m. when he stopped at a red light near the 405 Freeway in Hawthorne, later continuing to drive despite officers attempting to speak with him.

Officers managed to box the suspect in the Rancho Palos Verdes area at around 4:30 p.m. where he was arrested.
No injuries were reported during the chase and the incident is under investigation, officers said.
