Emergency Crews Respond To Landslide In Palos Verdes: Report
A landslide occurred near RAT Beach Friday morning in Palos Verdes Estates.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — A landslide occurred south of Torrance Beach Friday morning in Palos Verdes Estates.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, emergency crews were sent to the 300 block of Paseo del Mar at about 10 a.m. to respond to the landslide.

Before the rockslide, about 150 feet stood between the cliff and the ocean. It shrank to just 58 feet after the morning's landslide according to FOXLA.

A house sits atop the cliff where the slide occurred and a maintenance vehicle was hit by heavy debris when it came down.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

The area was secured by 1:41 p.m. according to LA County Lifeguards. Due to the landslide, the beach between the southernmost end of the Torrance Beach Parking lot to the top of the RAT Beach trailhead is closed until further notice.
