Fundraiser Launched For South Bay Man With Brain Cancer
A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help Peter Dusevic, 41, of Rancho Palos Verdes, an engineer with an aggressive form of brain cancer.
RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Pere "Peter" Dusevic, 41, of Rancho Palos Verdes, an engineer with an aggressive form of brain cancer.
According to a message posted by Dusevic's wife, Kristen, the fundraiser was started because the family faces financial hardship due to his being diagnosed with grade 4 diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer.
"We are seeking specialized care at different cancer centers dedicated to this type of cancer. Unfortunately, this means we must pay out of pocket for the cutting-edge treatments that offer him the best chance," she explained in a message on the fundraiser site.

With her husband unable to work, Kristen has had to take time off from her job as an elementary school teacher to care for him full-time, while also looking after the couple's three children, Maja (10), Marina (8), and James (6).
"The financial strain is overwhelming as we try to cover our mortgage, bills, and daily expenses, all while making sure Pere receives the best possible care," she wrote.
