Man in Custody, Another on the Loose Following Stolen Car Chase

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA - One man was in custody Wednesday night and another was at-large following a stolen vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash in the Lunada Bay area.
Deputies from the sheriff's Lomita Station were in pursuit of a stolen 1995 Jaguar occupied by two men around 9 p.m. in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to Sgt. Eric Ford.
The short pursuit ended in a crash at the intersection of Palos Verdes Drive West and Via Carillo in Palos Verdes Estates.

Deputies were able to take the passenger into custody but the driver remains on the loose, Ford said.
The passenger was taken to a hospital to be examined but no one else was injured and there were no reports of damaged property, Ford added.

The sheriff's deputies are being assisted by the Palos Verdes Estates police officers in the search for the outstanding suspect.
Residents are advised to lock their doors and report any suspicious noises or people via 911 or (310) 378-4211.
