Motorcyclist Killed In Torrance SUV Collision Identified

Police urged possible witnesses to come forward.

PALOS VERDES, CA – A motorcyclist killed in a collision with an SUV in Torrance was identified Friday as Robert Wagner, 58, of Lomita. Police urged possible witnesses to come forward.

A silver 2000 Toyota SUV and a white 2016 KTM motorcycle collided about 7:50 p.m. Tuesday at Sepulveda Boulevard and Anza Avenue. Wagner died at a hospital.

"Based on witness and driver statements, the initial investigation indicates the Toyota SUV was traveling northbound on Anza Avenue, making a left, westbound turn onto Sepulveda Boulevard when it collided with the KTM motorcycle, which was southbound on Anza Avenue," said Torrance police Lt. Jeremiah Hart.

The driver of the Toyota was treated by paramedics at the scene and released.

The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information about the collision is urged to call the Torrance Police Department's Traffic Division at (310) 618-5557.
