Palos Verdes 2017 Halloween Sex Offender Safety Map

PALOS VERDES, CA – As kids pick out their costumes and start to anticipate the jack-o-lantern buckets full of candy, it's important to make sure children are safe on the night of spooky thrills. Making sure your trick-or-treating neighborhoods are safe is a great way to start.

The California Department of Justice has a website called Megan's Law, which provides information on registered sex offenders pursuant to California Penal Code § 290.46, so that members of the public can better protect themselves and their families.

According to the website, there are no registered sex offenders in Palos Verdes and Palos Verdes Peninsula. In Palos Verdes Estates there are three offenders, and in Rancho Palos Verdes there are seven. Out of the ten registered offenders in the area, only one is currently in violation, and another doesn't have a last listed address.
