PALOS VERDES, CA — The following is the most recent Lomita Sheriff's Station crime blotter for the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Rancho Palos Verdes

ATTEMPT ROBBERY/ASSAULT

  • Assault - May 30, 2023, at 8:18 p.m. - Toscanini Drive and Radbrook Court
    • According to the Sheriff's Station, two men attempted to rob someone and the incident escalated when the men allegedly assaulted the other person. The first suspect was described as a white man who is 6-feet-2-inches tall and wore a light green hoodie. The second suspect was described as a white man who is 5-feet-11-inches tall and wore a black shirt and black pants.

  • Mail - May 30-31, 2023, between 11 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. - Via Del Cielo
    • According to the Sheriff's Station, residents reported their mail being stolen. No information about any suspects was available.

GRAND THEFT

  • Auto - May 22-24, 2023, between 8:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. - 7300 block of Berry Hill Drive
    • A white 1998 GMC Envoy was reported stolen from the city of Rancho Palos Verdes, authorities said. No information about any suspect was available.
  • Catalytic Converter - May 28, 2023, at 1:05 p.m. - 2700 block of Vista Mesa
    • According to authorities, a catalytic converter was stolen from a car in the city. The first suspect was described as a 5-feet-9-inches tall man with black hair and he was wearing a red long sleeve undershirt with a black shirt over the top, black pants and black shoes. There was no description available for the second suspect, but authorities said the men were seen leaving the location in a new model gray four-door sedan.
  • Catalytic Converter - May 28 - June 1, 2023 - between 12 a.m. and 5 p.m. - 29000 block of Knoll View Drive
    • According to authorities, a catalytic converter was stolen from a car in the city. No information about any suspects was available.

BURGLARY

  • Residential - May 27-28, 2023, between 2:45 p.m. and 1:40 a.m. - 28000 block of Ambergate Drive
    • A safe, baseball cards and jewelry were reported stolen from a home, authorities said. Officers said they found evidence that the rear glass door was smashed. No information about any suspects was available.
  • Residential - May 29, 2023, at 7 a.m. - Goldenspur Lane
    • According to authorities, the window of a home was found damaged in what appeared to be an attempted residential robbery. No items were stolen and one suspect was arrested, Sheriff's Station officials said.
  • Vehicle - May 29-30, 2023, between 5 p.m. and 11 a.m. - 26000 block of Honeycreek Road
    • A golf bag with golf clubs and shoes inside were reported stolen from a car, authorities said. Deputies said they found the rear tailgate window smashes. No information about any suspects was available.

GRAND THEFT

  • Catalytic Converter - May 27-29, 2023, between 9 a.m. and 2:30ap.m. - Broken Bow Lane
    • According to authorities, a catalytic converter was stolen from a car in the city. No information about any suspects was available.

BURGLARY

  • Residential - May 27-30, between 3:48 p.m. and a.m. - 29000 block of Indian Valley Road
    • According to authorities, the sliding glass door of a home was found damaged in what appeared to be an attempted residential robbery. No items were stolen and one suspect was arrested, Sheriff's Station officials said.

There were no crimes included in the Rolling Hills crime blotter during the reporting period according to the Lomita Sheriff's Station.
