PALOS VERDES, CA — The following is the most recent Lomita Sheriff's Department crime blotter for the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Rancho Palos Verdes

GRAND THEFT

  • Scooter - Feb. 5, 2023, between 5 p.m. and 2 a.m. - 26000 block of Indian Peak
    • According to the Lomita Sheriff's Department, a scooter was stolen. No information about the suspect was provided, but officials said they know who the suspect is.
  • Catalytic Converter - Feb. 9, 2023, at 1 a.m. - 2000 block of Velez Drive
    • The Sheriff's Department said the suspect was wearing all black clothing and was seen leaving the location in a black sedan. No other information was provided.

ASSAULT

  • Assault - Feb. 11, 2023, between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.- 6900 block of Crest Road
    • According to the Lomita Sheriff's Department, a person was assaulted on Feb. 11. No items were stolen and no information about the suspect was provided, but officials said they know who the suspect is.

Rolling Hills Estates

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY

  • Grand Theft - Feb. 7, 2023, at 9:46 a.m. - 4800 block of Kingspine Road
    • Two suspects attempted to steal a catalytic converter but were unsuccessful according to LSD. The first suspect was described to be a Hispanic male in his 30s with brown hair and no description was given for the second suspect. The suspects were seen leaving the location in a small blue sedan.
  • Burglary - Feb. 11, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. - 400 block of Silver Spur Road
    • A suspect attempted to steal property from a business but was unsuccessful, LSD said. The suspect was described to be a Black male in his 20s. He left the location in a blue Mercedes C300 with paper license plates according to officials.
