PALOS VERDES, CA — The following is the most recent Lomita Sheriff's Station crime blotter for the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Rancho Palos Verdes

PETTY THEFT

  • Unlocked Vehicle - May 13-14, 2023, between 1 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. - 2700 block of Western Avenue
    • According to the Sheriff's Station figurines were reported stolen, but no suspect information or further information about the crime was available.

  • Unlocked Vehicle - May 15-16, 2023, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. - 4000 block of Miraleste Drive
    • Earphones, a backpack, a computer, glasses, a hard drive, sunglasses and a bag were reported stolen from a car, authorities said. No suspect information was avilable.
  • Cash - April 1-May 16, 2023 - 2000 block of Crestwood Street
    • According to authorities, some cash was stolen,but no suspect information or further information about the crime was available.

BURGLARY

  • Residential - May 15, 2023, 11:30 a.m. - 30000 block of Palos Verdes Drive East
    • According to the sheriff's station, two people broke into a home, but didn't steal anything. Authroities described the first suspect as a black man wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans, white shoes and blue medical gloves. the second suspect was also described as a black man in a light green jacket, black face mask, black pants, light blue shoes and white socks worn as gloves.
  • Residential - May 15, 2023, at 2:14 p.m. - 30000 block of Via Rivera
    • A jewelry box with jewelry inside was reported stolen from someones home after two suspects entered into the residence via a side gate. The first suspect was described as a Black man who wore a green hoodie and black track pants. The second suspect was described as a Black man who wore a black hoodie and blue jeans. Authorities said the men were seen leaving the area in a dark grey sedan.
  • Residential - May 17, 2023, between 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. - Rockinghorse Road
    • Jewelry and a purse were reported stolen from a home after the resident discovered a shattered window at the back of their home, authorities said. No information about any suspect was available.
  • Vehicle - May 14, 2023, between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. - 31000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • Authorities said there was evidence of a keyhole on the drivers side door of a vehicle, but nothing was stolen and no suspect information was available.
  • Vehicle - May 20, 2023, between 10 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. - 5900 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • A purse, shoes and a wallet were reported stolen from a vehicle and authorities said they found evidence of a shattered window and a damaged keyhole.No information about the suspect was available.
  • Vehicle - May 20, 2023, between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 3200 block of La Rotunda Drive
    • A driver's license and miscellaneous credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle and authorities said they found evidence of a damaged keyhole on the driver's side door. No information about the suspect was available.
  • Vehicle - May 20, 2023, between 2 p.m. and 2:57 p.m. -5800 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • Cahs and credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle and authorities said they found evidence of a damaged lock on the driver's side door. No information about the suspect was available.
  • Vehicle - May 14, 2023, between 1:45 p.m. and 1:58 p.m. - 31000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • Binoculars, headphones and credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle and authorities said they found evidence of a damaged lock on the driver's side door. No information about the suspect was available.

ASSAULT

  • Assault - May 14, 2023, between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. - Casaba Road
    • One suspect was arrested after an assault was reported to the Lomita Sheriff's Station.

BURGLARY

  • Business - May 16, 2023, at 6:45 p.m. - Peninsula Center
    • Fragrances were reported stolen from an open business in the Peninsula Center and one suspect was arrested, authorities said. No further information about the crime was available.
  • Residential - May 18, 2023, between 6:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. - Anacapa Lane
    • A gun, cash, Japanese Yen, a wallet and a drivers license were reported stolen from a home after the resident found the back door to the house shattered, authorities said. No further information about the crime or the suspect
