This Palos Verdes Hotel Got A Four Diamond Award

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA – Everyone knows Palos Verdes is a beautiful place to be. There are ample amounts of great restaurants gorgeous hotels to stay at, and the proximity to the beach doesn't hurt either. It turns out AAA recognizes the Palos Verdes charm, too. The company recently released their list of award-winning Four and Five Diamond Rating hotels and restaurants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean – one hotel in Rancho Palos Verdes made the list, can you guess which?

According to AAA hotel scale, they want patrons to think of each additional Diamond as an indicator of "more extensive services and amenities – on a scale from no-frills to highly personalized." AAA considers a One Diamond property to translate to "a bed, a pillow, and a bargain"; Two Diamonds is a more familiar, casual, and affordable setting; Three Diamonds "deliver the comforts of home, minus the effort"; Four Diamonds provides "a notable splurge for a special occasion"; and the coveted Five Diamonds are "the crown jewel."

Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes is a Four Diamond Award winner. The oceanfront luxury hotel is on a 102-acre private peninsula property and surrounded by the ocean on three sides, according to their website. The coastal settling and Mediterranean-style architecture make it a great place for a staycation, or to experience California as a visitor.
