Palos Verdes Nature Preserve Remains Temporarily Closed
It will take at least 48 hours after the rains have stopped before the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve reopens to the public, officials say.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA -- The rain may have stopped, but the Nature Preserve remains closed.
It will be at least a couple of days after the rains have ceased before the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve can reopen to the public, city officials say. This is for safety reasons.
"The Palos Verdes Nature Preserve is now temporarily closed due to adverse weather conditions. It may remain closed for up to 48 hours or more after the last rainfall for public safety and to prevent further trail erosion," city officials said in a statement posted on the city's website during the deluge.
